Eric Larson, a maintenance worker II with the city of Fayetteville's Parks and Recreation Division, uses a chain saw while working with others to clean up around the city's sod farm near the Pump Station Dam River Access on the West Fork of the White River in Fayetteville. Larson said crews were taking advantage of the good weather ahead of expected rain to get work done in the area.
Everyone calls Eric "Big 'E'" and it's clear why they do. He's a big guy, but what a nice man. He has a heart of gold and it doesn't take very long to figure that out. It makes me smile when I see Eric and I always stop and talk.
