I find myself missing the feeling of being in touch with something much older than myself. Maybe PhotoShop gives us this. Maybe not.\u003cbr /\u003e\u003cbr /\u003eAdmittedly, it was fun to be able to do something that is truly amazing to watch; making a photograph come to life under a red light in a tray. They wanted a front page photo.  So they held a space for the photo delayed the press run, and I went to the court house.  \u003cbr /\u003e\u003cbr /\u003eNow, mind you, this was the old days.  Hot type.  Linotype machine.  Acid engraving for the photos.  And, of course, film.\u003cbr /\u003e\u003cbr /\u003eI grabbed a shot and ran back to the newsroom (the newspaper offices were a half block from the court house).  From the time I walked in to the newsroom with film in hand to the time a print went back to engraving was only 15 minutes.
